A pesar del deterioro social, el organismo se entusiasma con el rumbo macroecon\u00f3mico, que todav\u00eda luce muy precario.<\/h3>\n

El Fondo Monetario Internacional<\/strong> descart\u00f3 que se vaya a avanzar en el corto plazo con un nuevo acuerdo de cr\u00e9dito con la Argentina, lo cual implica, de forma impl\u00edcita, que la administraci\u00f3n Milei no va a tener una mano m\u00e1gica de fondeo para avanzar en la liberalizaci\u00f3n del mercado cambiario y poner en pr\u00e1ctica la “competencia de monedas”.<\/h3>\n

De todas maneras, la Casa Rosada sigue diciendo que podr\u00eda acceder a algo de liquidez a trav\u00e9s de otro tipo de herramientas.<\/h3>\n

A pesar de dar un fuerte respaldo a la pol\u00edtica econ\u00f3mica oficial, el Fondo congel\u00f3 la versi\u00f3n, instalada por Javier Milei y el ministro Luis Caputo, de que podr\u00eda haber dinero fresco para engrosar las reservas. A la par del apoyo al programa de mega-ajuste, el organismo volvi\u00f3 a insistir en la idea de que las medidas tengan “apoyo social”.<\/h3>\n

“PREMATURO”<\/h3>\n

Consultada sobre la posibilidad de alcanzar un nuevo acuerdo de deuda, la vocera del FMI, Julie Kozack<\/strong> (foto), dijo, en una conferencia de prensa en Washington, que “en este momento, ser\u00eda prematuro discutir las modalidades de un posible programa futuro”.<\/h3>\n

Estas declaraciones aparecen justo antes de que Caputo se re\u00fana en Washington con las autoridades del Fondo. De cara a ese encuentro, en el “mercado” se especulaba sobre la posibilidad de que el Gobierno accediera a un nuevo financiamiento. Dicha versi\u00f3n comenz\u00f3 con las declaraciones del propio presidente Milei, quien dijo en su momento que con 15 mil millones de d\u00f3lares m\u00e1s abrir\u00eda el “cepo cambiario” inmediatamente. Caputo llegar\u00e1 a la Reuni\u00f3n de Primavera (correspondiente al Hemisferio Norte), en los d\u00edas 17, 18 y 19 de abril. All\u00ed se reunir\u00e1 con ministros de Econom\u00eda y banqueros centrales de los pa\u00edses miembros del Fondo.<\/h3>\n

APOYO<\/h3>\n

A pesar de poner pa\u00f1os fr\u00edos sobre la idea de un nuevo acuerdo de cr\u00e9dito, el FMI redobl\u00f3 su apoyo a la pol\u00edtica econ\u00f3mica de extrema ortodoxia que est\u00e1 aplicando el Gobierno. “Las autoridades argentinas est\u00e1n implementando decisivamente un plan de estabilizaci\u00f3n ambicioso para restaurar la estabilidad macroecon\u00f3mica. El progreso hasta ahora ha sido impresionante”, indic\u00f3 Julie Kozack.<\/h3>\n

La portavoz del FMI analiz\u00f3 que “las reservas internacionales est\u00e1n siendo reconstruidas. La inflaci\u00f3n cae m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidamente de lo anticipado. Y los indicadores de mercado, como la brecha en los tipos de cambio y las cotizaciones de la deuda soberana, contin\u00faan mejorando”. Agreg\u00f3 que “el objetivo del Fondo sigue siendo apoyar los esfuerzos de las autoridades para restaurar la estabilidad macroecon\u00f3mica y sentar la base para un crecimiento pr\u00f3spero e inclusivo en Argentina”.<\/h3>\n

En este contexto de claro apoyo al rumbo econ\u00f3mico que est\u00e1 llevando adelante el Gobierno, el organismo volvi\u00f3 a advertir sobre el impacto social del ajuste. “El camino a la estabilizaci\u00f3n nunca es f\u00e1cil, y requiere una implementaci\u00f3n de una pol\u00edtica firme. Ser\u00e1 importante continuar mejorando la calidad del ajuste fiscal, mientras que la pol\u00edtica monetaria tambi\u00e9n tendr\u00e1 que adaptarse a esta transici\u00f3n. Es relevante seguir trabajando pragm\u00e1ticamente en la construcci\u00f3n de apoyo social y pol\u00edtico para ayudar a asegurar la durabilidad y efectividad de las reformas\u201d, dijo Kozack.<\/h3>\n

Hay varios puntos sobre los cuales el Fondo, y tambi\u00e9n los inversores privados, todav\u00eda miran de reojo al Gobierno. Es que la situaci\u00f3n macroecon\u00f3mica es todav\u00eda altamente incierta, con reservas en recuperaci\u00f3n pero con pagos de importaciones muy frenados; mejora fiscal pero mediante un esquema insostenible de corte masivo del gasto y de las transferencias a las provincias; desaceleraci\u00f3n inflacionaria desde un pico alt\u00edsimo y adem\u00e1s con un d\u00f3lar que se empieza a atrasar de manera preocupante.<\/h3>\n

Pero adem\u00e1s de estas luces de alerta, la propia din\u00e1mica de destrucci\u00f3n de puentes pol\u00edticos de un gobierno que tiene minor\u00eda en ambas c\u00e1maras del Congreso y que pretende hacer el “mayor ajuste de la historia” constituye un factor enorme de inestabilidad. Hasta d\u00f3nde aguantar\u00e1 la sociedad un deterioro tan grande y tan r\u00e1pido de las condiciones socio-econ\u00f3micas es solo una de las preguntas del mill\u00f3n.<\/h3>\n
